Now they're going to overlay Steam Punk elements on top of an otherwise well-themed area while other parts of the park that could use some attention are allowed to stagnate. I did like the Steam Pun/Western theming used at SFFT (other SF Steam Punk overlays are most mediocre), but Coyote Creek was one of the better western themed lands in the entire SF chain. The "additions" to my home park, SFA, are pretty lame. For a park as popular as SFGAdv, I always wonder about capacity, and the ops teams have proved me wrong by doing an excellent job with the otherwise low throughput of Jersey Devil, but unless Flash has a switch track to allow multi-train operation, this is going to be a pretty slow-moving line given the length of this shuttle coaster even if crews are on their game. Based on the photos, it looks like they're adding it behind Cyborg, which will create a crowded corner of Gotham (would have made more sense to put this between Wonder Woman and the Gotham Arena). Six Flags made no announcements today for new attractions at Six Flags Magic Mountain, which opened Wonder Woman Flight of Courage last year but nothing this year.įor an extensive list of new attractions coming to theme parks around the world in 2024 and beyond please visit our Theme Park Rides Under Construction page.Īnd for more theme park news, please follow us on social media and sign up for Theme Park Insider's weekly newsletter.Īs for the other SF announcements, The Flash: Vertical Velocity at SFGAdv is an interesting addition. If you're wondering what is coming to Six Flags' most-visited theme park, I don't have an answer for you. The former Mind Eraser, Renegade Rapids, and Coyote Creek Crazy Cars will return with new names and theming, joined by a new NebulaZ ride, called SteamWhirler.Įarlier, Six Flags Over Georgia announced that it will add an Intamin Ultra Splash for the 2024 season, as well. Six Flags America is getting a newly-themed SteamTown, replacing the old Coyote Creek section of the park. Other additions around Six Flags parks for 2024 will include a new Zamperla NebulaZ, called Cyborg Cyber Revolution, at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, which also is adding a rotating family drop tower called Shazam: Tower of Eternity and a Metropolis Transit Authority monorail ride to an expanded DC Universe land. The new El Rio Lento at Six Flags Over Texas will offer "one new lift hill and two big drops including a giant, steep nosedive," according to the company's press release. I'm not going this weekend because of the heat lol.Six Flags also announced that it will be revamping the world's first log flume ride. Since it is going to be so hot I highly doubt you will see lines. Jersey devil moves quick so you can do that whenever. I suggest starting with joker or superman, those are the only thrill rides I have ever seen with a longer than 10 minute wait. Get there at open and you can easily hit the whole park in a day, don't waste your money on flash pass. Another time El Toro said 5 minutes but we waited 15. For instance, superman said 15 minutes all day yesterday but my wife and son walked right on. Don't trust the app for wait times, although it does give an idea if it's busy or not. I've been going every weekend since June and the longest I waited was maybe 15mins. I've been going to six flags for 30 years (with a 10 year break in the 2010s) and I cannot remember a time where the lines were this short. It's definitely less crowded when it's hot, but even the nice days are not crowded at all. Worked well for me and was only slightly annoying. I rented a locker all day for $9 and just chose the option to move my location. The exception is if you have pants with zippable pockets. They are VERY strict now with items and many won’t even let you into the queue. Not sure if that’s a Monday thing or not. And for some reason I got free parking today. At the park it’s $35 for general but over $40 online for general. Not sure if you give a rip about that but I was a bit disappointed since I hadn’t been there since I worked there as a teenager in the 00’s and was looking forward to a goofy looking ride picture with me and my kids.ĭo not pay for parking on line, it’s more expensive due to process fees and tax. None of the ride photo booths had attendants and many were just straight up closed. The longest line we had was a 30 minute wait but it was Monday. It never had a wait time listed and didn’t update which rides were closed or not. Reading reviews makes this seems like a recurring theme no matter which day you go. Gah.) Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro were closed off and on. A bunch of rides were closed, nitro, skull mountain, Medusa (opened just as we left at 3ish.
